Hello, my name is Mr. Boone and I am entering my seventh year here at St. Vincent de Paul. I am originally from Omaha and received my B.S. in Physical Education from Northwest Missouri State University. I am the Physical Education teacher for grades 3-8. I am a firm believer in Physical Education and it's importance. I also believe that those who live healthy lives are also going to have a healthy mind. I try to be model of physical fitness by running in half-marathons, competing in duathlons and playing sports such as sand volleyball and softball. As well as being a teacher, I am also a coach here at SVDP. I am entering my third year of volleyball and fifth year of Speech.
Meeting twice a week for class for either 30 or 45 minutes, I try to fill the entire time with activities. An active mobile student is a productive student. Students will do various activities such as; yoga, gymnastics and various cooperative activities. Students in grades 6th-8th will be dressing out for class and having an activity called Circuit Training once a month. This will entail the students doing various exercises and running for 20 minutes straight. Though it may not be a favorite of theirs, it does prove to be very beneficial to them in the long run. They will be more prepared for tough challenges in their lives and be in better physical condition, especially for high school athletics.
