I am looking forward to my 30th year as an assistant principal at St. Vincent de Paul, and my 42nd year as an educator. Before coming to St. Vincent de Paul, I was a high school math teacher.
I earned a B.A. in mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an M.S. in secondary education, with an emphasis on middle level instruction, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
As assistant principal, I assist Dr. Marchese and oversee the teacher associates, the child care programs, and special activities such as grandparents’ day and graduation. In addition to working in the office, I am blessed to teach one eighth-grade math class every day. I love being in the classroom with the students.
Class Info:
Eighth-grade HAL math is a rigorous Algebra II class. Concepts taught include functions and their graphs, polynomial functions, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, systems of equations and inequalities, matrices and determinants, and sequences, series, and probability. The classwork is intended to be challenging and the homework includes an emphasis on applications of the material. The textbook is Larson’s Algebra and Trigonometry, eighth edition.
