Welcome to 1st grade in Room 13! This is my third year teaching here at SVdP. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in May of 2024.
Class Info
Reading will be a major focus in 1st grade. In addition to growing as readers, my goal is for my students to feel confident in their academic abilities and leave the classroom as motivated, lifelong learners! This year in math, students will practice addition and subtraction, learn about time and money, study geometry, and continue developing their number sense. We will also work on building social skills by learning about friendship and becoming more self-sufficient learners. Mrs. Denise Johnston and Mrs. Annie Sortino are the wonderful part-time teacher associates who will be working with the students in Room 13 this year.
