Welcome from our Principal

Welcome to St. Vincent de Paul! As principal, I am so pleased to have you join our school. The foundation of all we do at SVdP spiritually, academically, and socially is rooted in our Catholic faith. From preschool through eighth grade, we have built on a longstanding tradition of academic excellence, high standards and shared values. We partner with families to nurture the whole child, empowering each student to become all that God has called them to be. We are honored to walk alongside you in this journey of education and faith.

Mission

The mission of St. Vincent de Paul is to provide quality spiritual, educational, social and service opportunities in a respectful learning environment reflective of our Catholic beliefs.

We live this mission through:

Open, honest communication, collaboration, and cooperation among parents, students, and staff in order to promote a productive learning environment.

Providing all children with the opportunity to learn and succeed in ways that match their God-given talents.

Students and staff taking responsibility for their learning and behavior.

Providing accommodations accordingly to address the pace and style of learning for every student.

Treating all people with dignity and respect.

Emulating our patron saint, St. Vincent de Paul, by living united in faith, rooted in charity, and fulfilled in love in all that we do.

Underscoring learning is a lifelong process.

Teaching, supporting, and modeling our Catholic religious beliefs to foster spiritual growth.

History

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School is home to more than 800 students, preschool through eighth grade, from the St. Vincent de Paul Parish in northwest Omaha. The parish was founded in 1991 and was named in honor of a French cleric who devoted his life to serving the poor. St. Vincent de Paul School strives to imitate the spirit of our patron saint in prayer, worship, and service to those in need. Dedicated in 1994, the school building has expanded several times to meet the demands of a rapidly growing young parish.
