Mrs. Schofield - Room 33
Welcome to Mrs. Schofield's third grade class!
I have been in the teaching profession for 35 years. Before coming to St. Vincent, I taught 1st grade at St. Boniface in Elgin, Nebraska and 3rd grade at St Alberts in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This is my 26th year at St. Vincent de Paul School. I have the privilege of teaching the Social Studies curriculum to all third grade students. I also teach math, reading, spelling, vocabulary, religion, and handwriting to my homeroom students. I am a graduate from the institute formally known as Kearney State College. It is now known as the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Our class motto is "Do my best, Be my best, I have the power." I encourage my students to apply this motto to all aspects of their educational and social experiences.
"Making a Difference for Christ: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow," is our school theme this year. Looking forward to the Lord's help as we soar through another great year of school.
Please feel free to contact me by email or telephone (492-2111 to leave a message) if you have any questions or concerns about your child.
Classroom Information and Links
Mrs. Rangel is my full time teacher associate. This will be her 18th year with St. Vincent de Paul School.
There is a lot to learn and do this year! Some exciting concepts in third grade include cursive writing, multiplication, and division. We will work together to develop academic, social, time management, and organizational skills. These life long skills will help your child be a successful student and citizen . Prayer is included in every facet of the school day. We pray a decade of the Rosary with our lunch prayer. We also learn special prayers throughout the year based on the season or saint. Our room will be a learning environment where the students feel safe and loved.
