Educational Strategist - Ms. Kara Bousquet
I’m Ms. Bousquet (pronounced bō-skay), and I’m the educational strategist for 6th-8th grade students at St. Vincent de Paul. This is my first year at SVdP and my eighth year in Catholic education. I taught 6th -8th grade English, literature, and religion as a classroom teacher for four years before working for three years as the Director of Religious Education and Adult Faith Formation at St. Margaret Mary Parish in Omaha.
I received a bachelor of science in Elementary Education from Creighton University in 2015 and a master of arts in Ministry from Creighton University in 2019. I have additional credits toward a master of arts in Spirituality/Spiritual direction and look forward to continuing my studies soon.
As the educational strategist for 6th-8th grade students, I support students with identified learning needs and help students of all academic backgrounds acquire necessary tools and strategies to succeed academically at SVdP. I assist school faculty in identifying learning difficulties and disabilities and coordinate with students, families, and educational teams to implement appropriate interventions and foster an equitable learning environment for all students. I am available to assist students of all academic backgrounds as they strive to develop effective study habits and achieve their academic goals.
