Welcome to third grade! I'm Ms. Ruelas, and I have been a third grade teacher at St. Vincent de Paul for 25 years. I have a BS in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education from UNO, and I also have a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from Peru State College.

Class Info
I teach science to all third grade students. I also teach religion, reading, math, spelling, handwriting, and vocabulary to my homeroom students. Mrs. Joy Gregory will be helping in the classroom as the Teacher Associate. This is Mrs. Gregory's fourth year in third grade. There is a lot to learn and do in third grade! Some exciting concepts include cursive handwriting, multiplication, and division. Students begin the transition to a more digital-based classroom with the use of their own Chromebook and by using Google Classroom. We will work together to develop academic, social, time management, and organizational skills. These life-long skills will help each child become a successful student and citizen. Our school theme this year is "Be More". What an amazing year this will be as we apply this saying to every aspect of our lives!
