Welcome to Music!
Music classes at St. Vincent de Paul allow each child to sing, dance, listen, create, read music, and participate in a yearly performance. We are pleased to share the world of music with your child.
Welcome to Music for grades 6-8!
My name is Stephanie O'Brien and this is my first year teaching at St. Vincent de Paul.
I grew up in Westphalia, Iowa and went to Harlan Community High School. I attended the Univeristy of Nebraska at Omaha and received my bachelors of music with K-12 certification. While there I was a part of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Heartland Philharmonic Orchestra, Heartland Flute Choir, and University Choir.
I am also a teacher and counselor for the Math and Science summer camp Aim for the Stars and have enjoyed working there the past three summers.
I look forward to start teaching in this wonderful community!
Please email me or call (402)319-6343 with any questions or comments. Thanks!
Hello! My name is Karen LeMense, and I am excited to be your new music teacher for grades PK-5!
I'm originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and graduated from the Universtiy of Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!). I've taught for the Archdiocese of Omaha for over 20 years and play for Masses regularly on weekends at the St. Mary (Bellevue) and St. Pius X parishes. I continue to study music at UNO.
My husband Todd is a curriculum specialist and head swim coach for Omaha South High School. We have one daughter, Regina, who has begun her freshman year at the College of St. Mary.
Thank you for the warm welcome I have received! What a wonderful parish community and school you have!
Please feel free to contact me by email or telephone (492-2111) if you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress in music class.
